The Akkadian Health Clinical Team includes experienced RANZCP-registered psychiatrists, qualified psychologists, general practitioners, specialists and highly trained mental health nurses/clinicians. They provide a wide range of services to meet the needs of our patients.

Dr Ricky Hang

Consultant Psychiatrist

Ricky completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Melbourne in 2013, and completed his psychiatry training with a major metropolitan health service in Victoria. His area of interest lies in adult mental health, with experience in a range of subspecialties including Access/Triage, Consultation Liaison, Forensic Psychiatry and psychotherapies. He continues to work in adult psychiatry in a large public hospital. Ricky is experienced in the assessment and management of schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and special interest in adult ADHD. He is committed to providing person-centred, holistic care to individuals, to bolster their strengths and achieve their goals.

Dr Marco Giardini

Consultant Psychiatrist

Marco is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 36 years of clinical practice. Throughout his career, he has supported thousands of neurodivergent individuals in navigating challenges and building greater self-understanding and self-acceptance. His primary area of passion is working with adults aged 18 and over who experience symptoms of ADHD. Dr Giardini is known for his warm, holistic, and deeply person-centred approach, taking the time to understand each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. He is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care that empowers patients to achieve meaningful progress in their wellbeing. Renowned for his compassion and dedication, patients can feel confident they are receiving the highest standard of psychiatric care.

Dr Michael Zou

Consultant Psychiatrist

Michael graduated from Monash University Medical School in 2014 and completed his psychiatry training in Victoria. He has undertaken work in a number of subspecialty rotations including Psychiatry of Old Age, Forensic Psychiatry and Psychotherapies. He continues to work as a consultant psychiatrist in a large public psychiatry hospital in Victoria focusing on general adult psychiatry. He is passionate about the destigmatisation of mental illness and delivering high quality care to his patients.

Dr Edward Ko Ko aung

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Edward Ko Ko Aung is an accredited Consultant Psychiatrist and RANZCP Fellow specializing in adult neuropsychiatry and lifelong ADHD management. Partnering with Akkadian Health, he combines expert clinical assessments with tailored medical treatment plans. Dr Ko Ko Aung’s patient-centred practice is uniquely guided by a deep respect for the wisdom of lived and living experiences.

Dr Aviva Lotter

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Aviva Lotter is a consultant psychiatrist with 17 years of experience across inpatient and outpatient settings in both the public and private sectors. She brings a broad and nuanced expertise to psychiatry, with a particular commitment to delivering thorough, individualised assessments and comprehensive management plans tailored to each person’s unique needs. Her special interests include women’s mental health, encompassing premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and mental health conditions arising during perimenopause and menopause, as well as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, binge eating disorder, and mood and anxiety disorders, as well as their medical and substance-related co-morbidities. She sees both adolescents (16 years and above) and adults, and is a strong advocate for integrated, holistic care.

Dr Alla Grynevych

Alla completed her undergraduate medical training in Ukraine. She has extensive international experience – working in Botswana and New Zealand before moving to Australia in 2012. She completed her specialist psychiatry training in a major metropolitan health service in Victoria. She is interested in ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety and medical comorbidities. Her approach to patient care is collaborative and evidence-based.

Dr Elena Cocolas

Elena is an experienced psychiatrist with more than 12 years of clinical practice across both the public and private healthcare sectors. Drawing on expertise gained from both sectors, Elena brings a balanced perspective to complex clinical presentations.  Throughout her career, she has developed extensive expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of mental health conditions, working with individuals across diverse settings and stages of life. This breadth of experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of mental healthcare delivery, enabling her to balance evidence-based clinical practice with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. She is dedicated to fostering excellence in psychiatric practice and supporting positive recovery journeys for the individuals she serves.

Dr Ruzhe Chew

Consultant Psychiatrist

Ruzhe is a General Adult Psychiatrist who completed his medical training in the UK before undertaking specialist psychiatric training in Australia. He has developed broad clinical experience across multiple areas of psychiatry through his work at Austin Health, a major training hospital in Melbourne. He adopts a thoughtful, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to assessment and treatment, tailoring care to each individual’s needs and goals. He has particular interest in ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), informed by dedicated rotations at the Victorian statewide PTSD service at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital. He is committed to supporting his patients through evidence-based, person-centred care.

Dr Titus Mohan

Consultant Psychiatrist

Titus is a senior psychiatrist with 20 years of experience. His interests include management of acute psychiatric conditions, assessing biopsychosocial aspects of chronic mental health issues and collaborating closely with GPs. Dr Mohan offers diagnostic assessments and pragmatic management plans along with short follow-ups to ensure psychiatric management is consolidated to each unique set of circumstances.

Dr Amita Ingole

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Amita Ingole is a senior psychiatrist with extensive experience in the assessment and management of adult ADHD and a broad range of psychiatric conditions. She has 20 years work experience as medical practitioner in Australia. She worked as resident medical officer since 2006 and completed specialist training in psychiatry in South Australia. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in 2019. 
Dr Ingole has worked across tertiary hospital settings, including emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric units and community mental health multidisciplinary teams. Her clinical experience encompasses the assessment and management of complex and acute psychiatric presentations, including treatment-resistant schizophrenia, mood disorders , anxiety disorders and other challenging mental health conditions. Her area of interest is ADHD and mood disorders. She has worked in telehealth psychiatry since 2020. 
She is passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care and believes that effective mental healthcare is built on empathy, trust and collaboration. She works closely with patients, families and other healthcare providers to develop treatment approaches that are individualised and meaningful.

Dr Jeevithesh Shivanna

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Jeevithesh Shivanna is a Consultant Psychiatrist with nearly 20 years of experience working across mental health services in Australia and New Zealand. He brings extensive expertise in adult community psychiatry, consultation–liaison work, and acute mental health care. Dr Shivanna provides individually tailored, recovery-focused treatment using a multidisciplinary approach. He assesses and manages a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder, dysthymia, adjustment disorder), anxiety disorders (generalised anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, OCD), adult ADHD, psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, brief psychosis), and trauma-related conditions such as PTSD. He is committed to supporting patients in improving their wellbeing and quality of life.

Dr Danny Man

MB BCh BAO, FRANZCP Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Danny Man is a child and adolescent, and general adult psychiatrist who is committed to empowering people in their mental health recovery. He provides compassionate, patient-centred care and partners with individuals to build on their strengths, values, and goals. Dr Man has a particular interest in ADHD. He also works with childhood behavioural concerns, learning difficulties, autism, mood and anxiety disorders, and eating disorders.
Dr Man uses a holistic and culturally sensitive approach, recognising the importance of each person’s lived experience, identity, and support network. He works alongside patients—and families when appropriate—to co-design personalised treatment plans that promote resilience, independence, and long-term wellbeing. He is fluent in English and Cantonese and is dedicated to creating an inclusive and respectful therapeutic space. He started his psychiatric training in the United Kingdom and completed the training in Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He is also a member of the RANZCP Queensland Faculty of Adult Psychiatry Committee. Outside of work, Dr Man enjoys spending time with his children, photography, distance running, and sailing.

Dr Mahsa Davari

Dr Davari is a psychiatrist who provides assessment and treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions across adulthood. She is particularly interested in ADHD and takes a thoughtful, individualised approach to understanding each patient’s difficulties within the broader context of their life circumstances.
Her practice is collaborative and evidence-based, with an emphasis on developing practical treatment strategies tailored to each person’s needs and goals. Dr Davari aims to create a respectful and supportive therapeutic environment in which patients feel heard, understood and actively involved in decisions about their care.

Erin Leahy

Consultant Psychologist

Erin is a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years’ experience. She provides adult Autism diagnostic assessments (in-person and via telehealth), ADHD intake assessments, and psychological therapy for adults. She works from a neuroaffirming and strengths-based approach, with particular interest in late-identified and high-masking presentations of Autism and ADHD, burnout, sensory overwhelm, executive functioning difficulties, and navigating the impacts of life transitions. Erin is passionate about helping clients develop practical strategies for more authentic and sustainable functioning. Her therapeutic style is warm, practical, and non-judgmental, drawing from CBT, ACT, compassion-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches.

Dr Kylie Agnew

Consultant Psychologist

Kylie is an AHPRA registered (and NDIS accredited) psychologist and APS member. She has experience providing evidence-based treatments for depression, anxiety, personality disorders, stress, grief, and interpersonal difficulties across a wide range of clients. Her therapeutic style is warm and practical, and her clients feel understood, accepted and equipped with psychological tools to use every day. She draws from treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Brief Solution Focussed Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

Cecelia Newell

BPsych(Hons), MCBT
Psychologist

Cecelia is a general psychologist and has been registered for four years. She has a Masters degree in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She uses a warm and compassionate approach with her clients and aims to create a safe space for all clients. She enjoys working with neurodivergent adults to help clients understand more about their neurotype, manage and prevent burnout, improve self advocacy and realign their life to support their brain style. She has also worked with a number of other mental health challenges such as anxiety, trauma, OCD and relationship challenges. She currently provides therapy to adults 18+ via telehealth.

Dr Belinda Jennings

General Practitioner

Belinda graduated in 2011 and has since gained broad experience across medicine and surgery, working in roles ranging from hospital medical officer in obstetrics to surgical registrar before qualifying as a General Practitioner in 2020. Through her diverse clinical work, she has focused on overall health and wellbeing with a particular interest in mental health and ADHD, where she is committed to helping patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in treatment and progress.
As the founding GP at the Akkadian Care Centre, she has helped develop this service to help reach more Adelaide and South Australian patients so they can get the best response possible from their treatments. Belinda is committed to developing further health services to help improve the mental health of our community.

Dr Kevin Murphy

General Practitioner

Originally from Ireland, Dr Kevin Murphy obtained his medical qualifications in the United Kingdom and has lived and practised in South Australia since 2014. He is an experienced General Practitioner with interests in children’s health, women’s health, ADHD assessment and management, and end-of-life care.
Dr Murphy has a particular interest in the intersection between women’s health and ADHD and is qualified to undertake ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and adults from 8 years of age. He is also involved in teaching medical students and GP registrars.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, and being in the great outdoors.

Taren Kowalski

Taren has over 12 years of mental health experience in both public and private health services across New Zealand and Australia. With a Masters in Mental Health Nursing, and accredited with the ACMHN, she is passionate in providing consistent quality care to individuals to help better understand their condition. Taren tailors care with a holistic focus and has a special interest in ADHD, mood disorders and acute mental health conditions.

Alexandra Ruys

Mental Health Nurse Consultant (VIC)

Alexandra is a dedicated mental health nurse holding a Postgraduate Diploma of Mental Health from LaTrobe University. She has a wealth of academic knowledge and over 18 years of clinical experience across multiple specialties including Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit, Emergency Department, Telephone Mental Health Triage and Crisis Assessment Treatment Team.
She has extensive experience working alongside clients and their support network providing specialised assessment and treatment prioritizing holistic recovery focused client care. She has a particular interest in adult ADHD, Depression, BPAD, Schizophrenia and dual diagnosis.

Maddison Keirnan

Mental Health Nurse Consultant (VIC)

Maddison is an AHPRA Registered Nurse with a diverse clinical background spanning trauma, acute mental health, paediatric, and education settings. Throughout her career, Maddison has supported adults, children, and young people experiencing a range of mental health challenges, providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Alongside Maddison’s clinical experience, she has completed a research thesis focused on mental health and pregnancy, reflecting a strong interest in perinatal and postnatal mental health. Maddison also has a particular interest in adult ADHD and is passionate about supporting individuals throughout their assessment process with empathy, education, and evidence-based care.

Roxanne Bryson

Roxanne is a trained mental health nurse with 14 years experience. She has extensive experience working alongside clients with a broad range of mental health diagnosis in both inpatient and community mental health care settings. Her practice is trauma informed and client centred. She has a special interest in adult ADHD. Roxanne is passionate about her role in supporting clients through their recovery journey.

Jessica Walsh

Mental Health Nurse Consultant (VIC)

Jessica is a mental health nurse with over 10 years’ experience in the public mental health sector. She has worked across psychiatric inpatient units, community mental health teams, and rehabilitation services. Jessica holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Nursing and has a particular interest in ADHD, forensic mental health, and complex trauma.

Kristy Kwok

Mental Health Nurse Consultant (NSW)

Kristy Kwok (she/her) has completed a master’s in advanced nursing, majoring in Mental health. Kristy’s most recent work has been in crisis support lines and advocacy in mental health. Kristy has also previously worked within public hospital inpatient settings; both youths, eating disorders and geriatric focused. Kristy has a strong interest in providing mental health support via the digital platform to ensure timely care and accessibility for people within Australia.

Darcee Harvey

Darcee is a Mental Health Nurse providing comprehensive neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for individuals across the lifespan with a specific specialisation in paediatric and adolescent ADHD assessments. She holds a dedicated clinical interest in ADHD, ASD, eating disorders, complex trauma, and diverse mental health presentations. She continues to engage in advanced study within psychology and mental health to ensure the delivery of up to date, cutting edge care. Committed to delivering consistent, high-quality care within a holistic framework, Darcee utilises an evidence-based approach to ensure every assessment process is precise and client-centred. By prioritising strong therapeutic rapport, she fosters a kind, empathetic environment to guide individuals toward self-understanding and optimal clinical outcomes.

Vincent Nguyen

Vincent is a dedicated mental health nurse with over 14 years of experience across multiple forensic, inpatient, and community mental health settings in South Australia. Holding a Master’s degree in Mental Health Nursing from Flinders University, he brings a strong academic foundation and a wealth of clinical insight. Vincent’s practice is grounded in empathy, therapeutic rapport, and evidence-based care. He has a particular interest in adult ADHD, complex trauma, and mood disorders. In addition to his clinical work, Vincent is passionate about education, currently lecturing nursing students across multiple universities to support the next generation of health professionals.
