Akkadian Health was set up to do one thing well: assess and care for adults with ADHD and neurodiversity, and for the people they bring into the picture — partners, parents, children.
What started as a small ADHD assessment service has grown into a multidisciplinary practice with more than 8,000 assessments behind us, a 16,000-strong community of patients, and a clear focus on the cases that get missed elsewhere.
Our clinicians are AHPRA-registered and we work to current Australian clinical guidelines for ADHD, autism and mental health.
Assessments use established diagnostic frameworks. Stimulant prescribing follows current state and federal health department protocols. Patient information is held to the privacy standards required of any registered Australian health practice.
We look at ADHD as part of a whole person, and a whole life.
That means understanding how it shows up in women (which is differently to the textbook picture), the comorbidities that almost always come with it (anxiety, depression, autism, hormonal patterns), and what happens after the diagnosis — the ongoing support that turns a label into something you can actually use.
Our team is RANZCP-registered psychiatrists, GPs, registered nurses, psychologists and ADHD coaches.
We work as a connected team rather than separate practitioners. If you see one of us, the others can pick up your care from there without you starting again.
The Akkadian Health Clinical Team includes experienced RANZCP-registered psychiatrists, qualified psychologists, general practitioners, specialists and highly trained mental health nurses/clinicians. They provide a wide range of services to meet the needs of our patients.
We’ve now seen over 8000 people just like you right across Australia with life-changing outcomes through accessible high-quality mental health services.
